BYD-Seal-EV Price, Launch

The Seal EV was on display at the 2023 Auto Expo by the Chinese automaker BYD. In foreign countries, the BYD Seal, a premium sedan, competes with the Tesla Model 3. BYD just introduced the Atto 3 at Rs. 33.99 Lakhs in India. India will receive The Seal sooner than you might anticipate! Here is all the information you require about the BYD Seal EV.

Design

The BYD Seal is based on the “Ocean X” idea that BYD unveiled in 2021. It appears incredibly contemporary and boasts a coupe-like shape with an all-glass roof. There are intricate details all throughout the automobile. The DRLs are four c-shaped components, and the headlights are angular and modern.

The basic electric charm is maintained at the back by an LED bar across the tailgate. Additionally, the BYD Seal EV has flush door handles that effortlessly open when you unlock the vehicle. It has a height of 1,460mm, a width of 1,875mm, and a length of 4,800mm.

Features

The BYD Seal’s interior has a heated windscreen, heated seats, wireless charging, and numerous more practical amenities that have not yet been confirmed. However, given the anticipated price, the BYD Seal EV will be fully equipped. It has a driver-facing 10.25-inch screen and a passenger-facing 15.6-inch infotainment screen. Yes, the screen is enormous, but it also has other features. This screen can swivel, and it can be positioned either vertically or horizontally, just like the infotainment system on the BYD Atto 3!

The BYD Seal features a spinning, 15.6-inch infotainment display in the centre console, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a head-up display for the driver, just like the Atto 3 SUV and e6 MPV.

The drive selector and a scroll wheel to choose from the different drive modes are located below the floating touchscreen, which is surrounded by the central AC vents. Basic controls for features like a heated windscreen, an audio system volume control, and two wireless charging pads are also located in the centre console.

The inside is as unique and flamboyant as the Atto 3, thanks to the abundance of gloss black inlays, the white dashboard trim that contrasts with them, and the door handles that are integrated into speakers.

BYD Seal To Get Up To 700km Range

The BYD Blade battery technology, which will be used in more EVs in India, is used in the Seal. The Seal has two battery packs: an 82.5kWh unit and a 61.4kWh unit, both of which are based on BYD’s e-Platform 3.0. On the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle, the former has a claimed range of 550 km, while the latter has a range of up to 700 km (CLTC). The larger battery has a charging capacity of 150kW, compared to 110kW for the smaller battery.

Globally, there are two different powertrain options for the sedan: single-motor and dual-motor. While the former can be used with any battery, the latter can only be ordered with a larger battery.

Pricing & Launch

The Seal is anticipated to cost between Rs. 70 and Rs. 75 lakhs. As we have stated, this vehicle will be highly upscale. It will face off against other upscale manufacturers like Jaguar, Mercedes Benz, and BMW. By the end of 2023, The Seal is anticipated to debut in India.
