The exciting and quick XUV400 electric SUV was unveiled by Mahindra & Mahindra on the occasion of World EV Day. The dual peaks emblem will be present on the XUV400, Mahindra’s first electric vehicle, giving it a distinctive presence on the road. With the Nexon EV, Tata Motors is the market leader for electric vehicles in India as we approach the tail end of 2022. Mahindra intends to compete against Tata’s EV market supremacy.

EV Range and Top Speed

With 456 kilometers on a single charge and a top speed of 150 km per hour, the Mahindra XUV 400 will be among the four-wheelers with the longest range in the EV market. However, the Speedometer indicates a speed of 180 km per hour, which is very fast for any EV XUV on the current market.

Powered by a large capacity 39.4 kWh lithium-ion battery, the XUV400 EV has the most power and torque in its market. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 kmph in under 8.3 seconds because of the motor’s 310 Nm of immediate torque, making it the first Indian-made vehicle in its sector to have the fastest acceleration.

The XUV400 provides industry-leading multi-drive modes (Fun, Fast, and Fearless), each of which has its own tune for steering, throttle, and regen. Its single-pedal drive mode, known as the “Lively mode,” is a segment first and enables a smooth and effortless driving experience in congested traffic.

Exterior

The XUV400 is not a sub-four meter SUV even though it is based on the XUV300. The XUV400 competes with vehicles in a higher price range like the Hyundai Kona EV and MG ZS EV because of its size, which is 4200mm in length, 1634mm in height, 1821mm in width, and 2600mm in length. Boot space at 378 liters is also the highest in the segment but not by much. Projector halogen headlights, LED taillights, and 16-inch alloy wheels are additional highlights.

Interior

This car, which is produced in India, is one of the spacious models and can fit persons who are 6 feet tall in the seats. The driver as well as two more passengers may sit in the front.

World-Class Safety

The XUV400 EV, which is based on a five-star rated platform and offers industry-leading safety features, preserves all the lessons learned from the XUV300 Global NCAP rating. The car has the greatest functional safety rating for an Indian-built EV, as determined by ISO criteria.

With the XUV400, extensive crash simulations were carried out with success. The car has been carefully tested in adverse weather situations, from +47°C (Jaisalmer) to -20°C, further demonstrating its dependability.
