What is e-Platform 3.0
In terms of intelligence, the newly released platform includes BYD’s in-house-built vehicle operating system, which offers a high-standard cooperation system for high-level intelligent driving. It transforms the traditional distributed electrical/electronic architecture (EEA) into the domain centralised architecture, which is divided into four sets of domain control systems for smart powertrain, vehicle control, smart cockpit, and intelligent driving, resulting in improved interaction between vehicles and people, as well as vehicles and other things on roads.
Notably, BYD is the first Chinese company to commence scale manufacturing of the domain control system for vehicle control. In terms of efficiency, the e-platform 3.0 comes standard with a newly updated 8-in-1 drive system module, the first of its kind in the world, allowing overall efficiency to exceed 89% and a range over 1,000 kilometres for a car. An electric vehicle (EV) based on the platform can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 29 seconds thanks to the all-new four-wheel-drive system. With 800V fast charging technology, a 5-minute charge may add 150km to an EV’s range.
In terms of safety, the e-platform 3.0 considerably increases the structural integrity of an all-electric vehicle and BYD’s ultra-safe Blade Battery pack, aiming to quadruple the torsional stiffness of the car body.
Exterior
The Atto 3 has a crossover design on the outside. The chrome grille, broad bumper, and LED headlights dominate the front end. The flared wheel arches, R18 diamond-cut wheels, and sloping roofline are visible from the side. A single-piece tail lamp, strong bumper, and little badging can be found at the rear. It has a length of 4.45 metres and a width of 2.72 metres.
Interior
The inside is decked out with chrome and quality plastics. The AC vents and climate control are distinctive, as is the digital instrument cluster, which is distinctive and funky in appearance. The entire cabin has been trimmed in beige and black. A rotatable touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, climate control, power windows, power mirrors, LED projector headlamps, and a 360-degree camera will be standard. It comes standard with eight airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, hill descent control, ESP, a 360-degree camera, and driver assistance systems.
Colours Expected
In other worldwide countries, BYD sells four colour options of the Atto 3, which we expect to ship to India as well. Ski White, Surf Blue, Parkour Red, and Boulder Grey are among the colours available.
Battery and Charging Options
The Atto 3 is powered by BYD’s blade battery technology, which has a 60.48 kWh pack and a 200bhp/310Nm electric motor. It is FWD and has a claimed range of 420 kilometres. The fastest charging method is an 80kW DC charger, which is projected to charge the battery in under 60 minutes. An AC charging station and a normal three-pin wall socket connection are also included.

Pricing
BYD Atto 3 price has yet to be disclosed by the automaker, who will do so before beginning sales of the new Atto 3 electric SUV in India. However, anticipate paying between 20 and 25 lakh for it (ex-showroom)
